Local Authority and Regional Assembly Staff Training Webinar on Appropriate Assessment: Updates and Learnings from Current Practice
The presentation will be delivered by Paul Scott, Head of the Ecological Guidance and Advisory Unit in the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) of the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. The presentation will give an overview of:
• The fundamentals of Appropriate Assessment Screening;
• Key terminology and legal tests to be met;
• How to recognise good practice in Appropriate Assessment documentation; and
• Making Appropriate Assessment for plans and projects efficient.
The presentation will be followed by a Questions and Answers session where Paul will be joined by colleagues from the Ecological Guidance and Advisory Unit of the NPWS to answer any questions that arise.
